Home-schooling and my snoring dog ramblings

I home-school (or is it homeschool?) both my son and daughter. He's in 6th grade and she's in Kindergarten. Since the second semester started in January, I feel like I am the worst teacher in the world. I've completely slacked off and the guilt from that is weighing heavily on me.

Both of my children are very bright and love to learn. But for me it has been hard juggling being 'mom' and 'teacher'. Believe me, I DO love teaching. In fact, I feel it was my calling to teach, especially to my son whom has special needs. He has truly thrived since we have taken him out of public school. I guess now and then we all get in a 'slump' and I'm trying my best to crawl my way out.

I have another child, our dog Sadie. We adopted her from our local shelter a couple of years ago. She's a Jack Russell Terrier mix and is the most lovable and affectionate dog. However, she likes to sleep in bed with my husband and I...in the middle of us. Not only is this annoying, she also snores very loudly. And not only that, she's as hot as a furnace. She also likes to burrow her entire body under our covers. I don't think this is normal.
